Touchdown Calls

Call four players to find the end zone. No player twice.

Call an RB, WR, TE, and a double-points Flex to score a touchdown each week. Once you call a player, they're used for the season. PikSheet handles the rules, pick submission, lock timing, field reveal, standings, and commissioner controls from one place.

How it works

The format stays familiar to your league; PikSheet keeps the weekly mechanics clear and consistent.

  • 1Each week, call four players you think will score a touchdown: one RB, one WR, one TE, and a Flex (any RB, WR, or TE).
  • 2Every touchdown your player scores is worth 1 point — the Flex call counts double.
  • 3Rushing and receiving TDs count. Returns, recoveries, and passing TDs don't.
  • 4Once you call a player, that player is used for the rest of the season — no reuse.
  • 5Calls lock at kickoff of each player's game. Empty slots score zero.
  • 6Weekly ties break by the closest prediction of the total points in the week's last game.

Member flow

Members see the current week, make the required picks, and can edit anything that has not locked yet.

Field reveal

After lock, the pool can see who picked what without chasing text threads or screenshots.

Scoring

Game results update the leaderboard according to this format's rules and history.

Week 6 example

A quick scoring example for this format.

  1. 1.RB call scores 2 rushing TDs → 2 points
  2. 2.WR call is held out of the end zone → 0 points
  3. 3.TE call catches 1 TD → 1 point
  4. 4.Flex call (a WR) scores 1 TD → 2 points (double)
  5. 5.Weekly total: 5 points

How to win a Touchdown Calls pool

Strategy that separates the season winners from the pack.

  • 1Don't burn the elite goal-line backs early — a top RB is worth the most in a week the field has already used theirs.
  • 2The Flex doubles everything, so put your most confident call there, not your leftover.
  • 3TE is the scarcest position. Plan your tight end calls weeks ahead or you'll be picking from the waiver wire by November.
  • 4Volume beats highlights: goal-line touches and red-zone targets score more reliably than big-play speed.

What the commissioner controls

Every setting is configurable at pool creation and editable until the pool opens.

  • Start / end week
  • Lock mode: standard, week, day, or per-game
  • Entry fee (optional — you collect, we don't touch it)
  • Max entries per member

Touchdown Calls pool FAQ

What if my player is on a bye?+

Players without a game that week can't be called — the picker only shows players whose team plays.

Can I call the same player in two slots?+

No. Four different players every week, and never a player you've called before.

What if I forget to submit?+

Empty slots simply score 0 that week. There's no elimination and no penalty — you're just leaving points on the field.

Do defensive or return touchdowns count?+

No — only rushing and receiving touchdowns score. Returns, fumble recoveries, and passing touchdowns don't count.
