Settings, locking and closing a pool

What you can still change once the season starts, and how a pool ends.

Settings lock when the season starts

Once your first week opens, lock mode, entry fee, member/entry caps, and format rules freeze. The Manage tab shows exactly when.

Box pools freeze less: entry fee, per-player square cap, and number/results rules. Which games are on the grid can still be swapped (Manage → Games) until the pool locks or the game starts.

Name and description stay editable all season — they're labels, not rules.

Manual spreads

Manual-spread pools get a Weekly Spreads section on Manage. Each game's spread locks with that game's picks, so enter the week's spreads early.

Locking, archiving and deleting

All owner-only, in the Manage tab's Danger Zone.

Locking stops new entries. Survivor pools do this automatically once the week after your start week opens.

Archiving moves the pool into your dashboard's collapsed Archived section and freezes the roster — the usual way to close out a season.

Neither stops members from picking games that haven't locked yet.

Deleting is permanent — type the pool's name to confirm.

What PikSheet doesn't do

  • Format rules can't change mid-season.
  • No auto-archive when the season ends.
  • No way to close picks early beyond the pool's lock mode.
  • Deleted pools can't be recovered.
