How a Bowl Pick'em pool works
Bowl Pick'em covers the whole college football postseason on one sheet: every bowl game and every College Football Playoff game. Members pick every game, and playoff games score more. Here are four real games from the 2025โ26 postseason, with their closing lines.
1. The commissioner sets the rules
The games are set for you: every bowl and all eleven playoff games. The commissioner chooses the rest, and can change it until the postseason opens on Selection Sunday:
- Pick types. The winner, the spread, or both, with the total (over/under) as an extra if you like. Members make every pick type on every game.
- Pushes. With spreads or totals on, a pick that lands exactly on the line can count as nothing (the default), as a win, or as a loss.
- Round points. Bowl games score 1 point a correct pick. Playoff rounds can score more: by default ร1 in the first round, ร2 in the quarterfinals, ร3 in the semifinals and ร4 in the title game.
2. You pick every game
A game opens for picks once both teams are set and, if the pool picks spreads or totals, its lines are in. Selection Sunday opens the bowls and the first round; each later playoff game opens when its matchup is decided, so come back each round. PikSheet reminds you to pick new games before they lock. Pick every open game, for every pick type, and save your sheet.
Spreads and totals come from the sportsbook. Each game's lines are set once, when it opens, and don't move after that, so everyone picks against the same number. Your sheet also asks for the total points in the title game, the tiebreaker; you can enter it any time before that game kicks off.
3. Picks lock
Each game locks at its own kickoff, and you can change a pick until then. Once a game locks, everyone's picks on it show in the Field tab. A game you didn't pick before it locked scores nothing.
4. Games are graded
- Winner: the team that wins the game.
- Spread: the team that covers. IU โ7.5 needs Indiana to win by 8 or more; MIA +7.5 wins if Miami wins or loses by 7 or fewer.
- Total: whether both teams' points combined finish over or under the line.
A spread or total that lands exactly on the line is a push, scored the way the commissioner chose. Every correct pick scores 1 point, times its round's points. One entry's picks on four real games:
| Game | Picks | Final | Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Citrus BowlMICH at TEX ยท Bowl ร1 | TEXTEX โ4Under 50.5 | TEX 41โ27 | 22 of 3 |
| Music City BowlTENN at ILL ยท Bowl ร1 | TENNILL +3Over 61.5 | ILL 30โ28 | 11 of 3 |
| Rose BowlALA at IU ยท Quarterfinals ร2 | IUIU โ7.5Over 46.5 | IU 38โ3 | 42 of 3 |
| National ChampionshipMIA at IU ยท Championship ร4 | IUIU โ7.5Over 47.5 | IU 27โ21 | 82 of 3 |
7 of 12 picks correct scores 15 points. Indiana won the title game by 6, so IU โ7.5 missed, but the over still paid ร4.
5. Tiebreaker
Entries level on points rank by correct picks, then by pushes. If they're still level, the prediction closest to the title game's total points wins; an entry without one ranks behind every entry with one.
6. Standings
One sheet, one standings table: points from every game add up, and the most points after the title game wins.
