**High 5:** Pick your 5 best shots each week. Every win counts.

Only your most confident picks. Choose 5 games each week — straight up or against the spread — and rack up wins.

## How it works

1. Choose exactly 5 games from the weekly slate (commissioners can set 3–10).
2. Each correct pick counts as a win. Season standings rank total wins.
3. Straight-up or against-the-spread — commissioner's choice.
4. A perfect 5-0 week is the fastest way up the standings.
5. Weekly ties can be settled with an optional tiebreaker.

## Week 7 example

1. You pick: Chiefs, Ravens, 49ers, Bills, Lions.
2. Chiefs and Ravens cover, 49ers and Bills win, Lions lose.
3. Result: 4-1 — four wins added to your season total.
4. The member who went 5-0 gains a game on the whole field.

## How to win

- With only five picks, one bad call is 20% of your week. Raw win probability beats value — save the fun underdog for a pick'em card.
- In against-the-spread versions, a big spread isn't a safe pick — double-digit favorites win far more often than they cover. Mid-size home favorites are usually the steadier cover.
- Consistency compounds: steady 4-1 weeks beat alternating 5-0s and 2-3s over an 18-week season.
- A missed week is five guaranteed zeros. Submit early — you can change picks until they lock.

## What the commissioner controls

Every setting is configurable at pool creation and editable until the pool opens.

- Picks per week (3–10, default 5)
- Straight-up or against-the-spread
- Lock mode: week or per-game
- Weekly tiebreaker on/off

## Frequently asked questions

### What is a High 5 pool?

Each member picks exactly five games per week (commissioners can set 3–10). Every correct pick counts as a win, and season standings rank total wins — it's pick'em concentrated down to your five most confident calls.

### Is High 5 played straight up or against the spread?

Either — the commissioner chooses at setup. Straight up rewards finding the safest favorites; against the spread makes all five picks genuine decisions.

### How are High 5 ties broken?

Pools can enable an optional weekly tiebreaker — predicted total points in the week's final game. Season standings rank total wins.

### How is High 5 different from Pick'em?

Same win-based scoring, smaller card: Pick'em makes you pick every game, High 5 only your best five. Fewer picks means less time per week and more weight on each call.
